Participating on the Trans NH Bike Ride
Bill DaGiau
The Trans New Hampshire Bike Ride Against Muscular Dystrophy turns 30 in June. This will be my 11th participation! Started by some dedicated firemen who wanted to make a difference, this event will easily capture your heart. It is a 250 mile 3 day bicycle ride through the "rolling hills" of NH, starting at the Canadian border on June 23 and ending at the Red Hook Brewery in Newington on June 25. ALL the money raised will stay in NH to help NH families struggling with MD! If you would like to help me reach my goal of $4,000.00 please visit anniesangels.org
and make a contribution. On a national note, MDA has made a huge stride in treating spinal muscular atrophy! Read the latest from MDA: "In December, the FDA approved Spinraza
, a first-of-its-kind treatment option for kids and adults with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) caused by a deficiency of SMN protein. For more than 65 years, with the support of partners, donors and — most importantly — our families, MDA has worked hard to make this treatment a reality. We funded foundational SMA research, including early-stage development of Spinraza, and we couldn’t be happier or prouder as this promising new drug becomes a treatment that could slow — and potentially even reverse — SMA disease progression."

On Belay
Do you know a family with cancer? Our friends at On Belay want to help! Here are the details...
On Belay uses adventure activities like indoor climbing and outdoor challenge course activities to create a metaphor for participants, teaching them that if they can find a way through these challenges, they can overcome anything. Through the support of being "On Belay" they get a chance to connect with other youth facing similar challenges while learning to support others and developing physical and emotional confidence.
This is a FREE adventure program for children 8 - 18 who have or have had a family member with cancer this Saturday on March 11, at Camp Merrowvista in Tuftonboro NH. Join a community of kids who know what it's like when someone you love has cancer. Have a day full of happy
, doing things you've never done, in places you've never been, with new friends you'll never forget.

Benefits of Reiki
Our bodies are made of energy; moving, living, powerful energy. When this energy becomes blocked, disrupted or weakened, our health can be affected. Both our emotional and physical health feel this imbalance. Common circumstances, like injuries and infections, along with negative emotions, like anger, anxiety, doubt, worry and fear, will cause an interruption in energy flow.
Reiki can help promote balance in the body, as well as feelings of calm, relaxation and less stress. It provides relief from allergies, pain, chronic illnesses, injuries, headaches, colds , etc. You'll notice an increase in awareness, creativity and wisdom as well. You'll enjoy improved concentration, deeper meditation and deeper sleep. How cool is all that??
It facilitates your body's natural healing ability, and enhances other therapies, both traditional and alternative. It's widely recognized by Doctors worldwide, who personally witness it's positive impact on patients. Reiki is used in hospitals, pre- and post-surgery, to speed up the healing process, decrease pain, and reduce the side effects of medications, chemotherapy and radiation.
The benefits of Reiki are virtually endless. There are no negative side effects, it's non-invasive, safe and simple. It's also cumulative, so your body benefits from each minute you receive soothing, hands-on Reiki.
This ancient Japanese technique really must be experienced to appreciate. You'll wonder why you waited, and then be thankful for investing in yourself!
