 Time is FLYING! Welcome to June! Using your suggestions to clarify the numbers, here is what the new format will look like for this section of the newsletter… Consecutive Days of Service- 3/10/2007 - 04/30/2023 = 5927 Total Requests Filled= 7736 which includes: Total Angel Pets= 552; Total Service Dogs= 9; Total Arts for Angels Projects= 490 Does not include 11,000 Teddy Bears to Boston Childrens or Dartmouth Hitchcock Requests- May 2022 = 69 v May 2023 = 105 +53% Requests Year to Date- 2022 = 342 v 2023 = 422 +24% Distribution $ to Help Families-Year to Date
– 2022 - $150,544 v 2023 - $206105 +37% It was about a month ago we held our "Lovin' the Oven Community Night" at Community Oven. Thanks to your love of The Oven we raised nearly $700.00. Thanks to the Pine family, the Community Oven family, and all of you, our Angel family. Thanks to Candie Wright who submitted a grant application on our behalf to the Bishop's Charitable Assistance Fund. We received $2,500.00 to be used for our Angel Fund assisting with household expenses, medical expenses, and indirect medical costs. Finally, I’d like to tell you about V. V is a recent addition to our Angel Family. He is a kidney transplant and stroke survivor. His right side and hand are severely compromised, and he has severe tremors. Susan, V’s home caregiver requested a sensory soap dispenser so he can wash his own hands. The cost on amazon was $29.00. This simple request gave this person back a bit of dignity. Thank you for allowing this and so many more acts of kindness to happen. All of this was possible because of YOU, the Angels Among Us who give generously and give often. Without YOU we are nothing.

Join us this, and every Wednesday (6:30pm - 9:00pm) for weekly Cribbage for a Cause at WHYM Craft Pub & Brewery benefiting Annie's Angels Memorial Fund. We have been seeing a huge boost in new and returning players, as well as folks who would like to learn the game to enter the tournaments! If it’s something you always wanted to learn, we are all happy to teach!! We play friendly games, (no muggins) and everyone who plays is supportive and helpful no matter how experienced you may be!! Just $10 per person, a portion goes to Annie’s Angels and the winner takes the pot! Weekly tournament style. Hope to see you there!
16th Anniversary Heavenly Ball - Wrap Up
Diane and I would like to thank everyone for supporting the 2023 Heavenly Ball, A Mother's Love. We had so many moving parts, new platforms, and new operations that our Auction Committee implemented seamlessly, and you accepted graciously, thank you. We raised more money on a single night event than ever before, $155,000.00, thank you. To our annual attendees, you introduced Annie's Angels to an entirely new group of people by inviting more first time guests then every before, thank you.
In closing this chapter of Heavenly Ball history, I'd like to remind you how we got here and how we must proceed if we are to remain a guiding light to those suffering through disease, illness or disability. This is an excerpt from my speech...
I always say during my talks, “mom died after a long battle with breast cancer Christmas night 2002 and that’s why we started Annie’s Angels” after all it is true but, that was just a moment in time, her cancer, her passing was just a moment in time it is not her legacy. Her legacy is one of kindness, joy, hope, courage, and unconditional love. That is what she left us. My brothers and I, we tested that last one A LOT. From crushing disappointments to soaring successes, there was always one thing we could count on, mom loved us. So, it’s no wonder that when I reached my crossroads, my moment of destiny, as I stood unexpectedly in front of a priest and he asked, “what would you like healing for” I said, “I’m a mess. I’ll take whatever He thinks I need” and he held my shoulders, he began to pray, and my body trembled, and the top of my head felt like it was on fire, and in that moment the options were laid out and I was offered a choice, it is no wonder I would accept this path. It’s all because of a mother’s example, a mother’s love; and what keeps me moving forward on this path? A mother’s love and your support. All of this, all that we do at Annie’s Angels is about a mother’s love and your support. You are the Angels Among Us that allow us to do what we do.

13th Annual Cause Fore Boz
Golf Classic
 It’s been 13 years since her accident and Keri Bosworth is working her butt off on the road to recovery. Keri means so much to so many different people. As a mother of two from Newmarket, Keri had her world turned upside down in June 2010, when a swimming pool accident crushed her C3 and C4 vertebrae, leaving her paralyzed. Knowing her strength and determination, there is no question as to why Keri continues to improve each day. But with the progress, comes the struggle of mounting medical bills, which is why we support the 13th Annual Cause Fore Boz. When: Friday, August 4, 2023
Entry Fee $150 per player includes: 18 holes of golf with cart Lunch Gifts & Prizes Breakfast & Lunch Only (non-golfers): $35 6:30am

Annie's Helping Hands Oncology Program
Annie’s Angels Memorial Fund established Annie’s Helping Hands in 2012. Annie’s Helping Hands is a multidisciplinary holistic oncology program. Participants of the program are eligible to receive Massage, Reiki and Meditation therapies for up to 6 months. Services are provided by professionals you select and must have specialized training in oncology in their field. Please contribute to Annie's Helping Hands today!
