Let me begin by saying Happy New Year to everyone!
I am happy to report that in 5776 consecutive days that Annie’s Angels has been filling requests, 6823 requests have been successfully completed! Between December 1 & 31, 2022 Annie’s Angels has received and assisted with 115 requests compared to December 2021 of 109 requests, a 6% increase from last year. Requests to date 2022 are 913 compared to 2021 at 692, a 28% increase compared to the same time frame last year. We STILL have never said no to a family who meets our mission and needs our help!
Let me wrap up the numbers for 2022 like this; January up 42%, February -2% March up 29%, April up 77%, May up 21%, June -8%, July -11%, August up 70%, September up 80%, October up 16%, November up 98%, December up 6%. I don’t see that requests will be any less, the need for help by families struggling through life threatening disease, illness, or disability in 2023 will be there. More "Save The Dates" for your calendar - Angel Week @ The Brook July 10 to 19! The Brook will be presenting The Magic Mike Show as well as an event called Spanish Nights! I'll have those dates soon.
Our Board is meeting this week to discuss other events for 2023. Keep an eye out for more dates.
I want to thank some special companies who really made this Christmas special for our Angel Families! Thanks to Colwen Hotels who asked us to give them lists for 10 families Christmas wishes. I miss counted and we had eleven. Colwen said "no problem, send them over!" I did, they handled all eleven families Christmas wish lists! I want to also thank Target who made a similar ask. They asked for children's wish lists for two families. Target filled their lists and had them ready for Christmas delivery! Finally, thanks to our friends at Arete' Chiropractic who produced the 7th Annual Angel Tree. They collected $4600 in gift cards for their Angel Tree! These cards were given to the remaining Angel Families who needed some help this Christmas.
