As we begin to shift gears, the leaves will turn, the nights will get cooler and the fall/winter wardrobe will come out. These things are certain here in New England. Something else that is certain is that Annie's Angels will continue to help local families struggling through life threatening disease, illness and disability. That being said...
I am happy to report that in 5289 days that Annie’s Angels has been filling requests, 5629 requests have been successfully completed! Between August 1 & 31, 2021 Annie’s Angels has received and assisted with 49 requests compared to August 2020 of 22 requests, a 123% increase from last year. Requests to date 2021 are 424 compared to 2020 at 306, a 39% increase compared to the same time frame last year, all while maintaining our "never say no to a family who needs our help and fits our mission" attitude.
Because our supporters continue to be generous, we have been able to financially keep up with these increases but the daily stresses of case load, operations and event planning are beginning to take its toll. It seems our little volunteer organization is experiencing growing pains again.
In order to keep Annie’s Angels functioning at its best, I have instructed a board committee to work with me to create a new position; Director of Development. Because I will not use your donations meant to go to Angel families to pay for this position, we have begun applying for grants and searching out corporate sponsors to help pay for this expansion. Once funding is in place the new position will be filled.
