Ashley Gray Pool Lift Fundraiser

Ashley is in need of a pool lift. In order to have one installed it will cost $9,052.39. A lift has been previously recommended by her medical team to help provide her with the vital physical therapy exercises and movement activities that she would otherwise not be able to engage in without significant help from others. She currently utilizes a hot tub year-round for her physical therapy needs which helps to maintain and increase her physical abilities. Currently, if Ashley is to attempt to participate in her necessary physical therapy activities she has to call on friends/family to come over to her residence to help her get into and out of the hot tub for her regular maintenance stretches.

 

Without completing these exercises regularly, Ashley is at risk of declining in her functional capabilities as well as the loss of an important pain-management activity. 

Ashley and her family have attempted to find funding for this need through various sources. After having exhausted all potential resources over the past year+, we are reaching out for help with fundraising for her to help meet this need. 

Over the past 10 years, Ashley has been a huge part of the community in helping others with advocacy and their fundraising needs. You may recognize her name from The Awesome Ashley Show on Biddeford Public Access Channel 3 and YouTube. She has been an inspiration to many people through her public speaking on bullying as well as the difficulty of growing up with a disability, the barriers that are experienced and how hard it can be to ask for help when it is needed the most.

Not only will this provide Ashley with more independence in her ability to support herself with her own medical care, but it will also help increase her ability to meaningfully engage in her own treatment and provide her with the tools that she needs to help build self-confidence in her ability to care for herself.
