Timmy's Van Fund

This is Timmy Konkel. Timmy has a passion for cars and has been working with them since he was 16 years old as an auto mechanic. Fiercely independent, Timmy continued to follow his passion and worked on cars until a little over a decade ago, when his disability made working too difficult. Timmy sustained a debilitating injury at the age of 23, which left him paralyzed. He didn't let his paraplegia slow him down, however, until he lost his wheelchair van 3 years ago due to its age and disrepair. He could no longer fix the aging vehicle, and has been homebound ever since, only able to leave the home to attend medical appointments, using state-funded transportation.
