Recently our world was flipped upside down!
Ricky felt a visit to urgent care was needed and that turned into unexpected news. We were told to rush to an emergency room, that they were scared for him and his life. Almost a week into being admitted to Portsmouth Regional Hospital, medical conditions were finally under control enough to check his heart. The cardiac surgeon came back after surgery to tell us that he
had implanted two stents. One to repair a complete blockage, the other for a partial blockage. He told us that he got Ricky's heart working however it was/is currently only operating at 23%. He must wear a life vest which is basically a defibrillator because he is at risk of Sudden Cardiac Death. We will not know for months if his heart is improving, staying at 23% or continues failing.
Because of restrictions, the main one being how much he can lift, work is virtually impossible. We have three children, and he has been solely providing for our family. His recovery and keeping him here with us is our main priority and though we don't like to ask for help, we are getting to a point where any little bit will help as the medical bills coming in, prescriptions and all of the everyday bills that come with having a home.
We are asking for help. Please make a tax deductible donation today!
