On Friday 10/23, Nicole suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm while mountain biking in Stratham. Angels were looking out for her that night as she was supposed to be riding alone, but her husband, Chris, got home early and joined her. He saved her life by performing CPR for 15 minutes until the ambulance arrived. After two ambulance rides & a med-flight, she made it to Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston.
On Saturday morning, doctors successfully performed an endovascular coil procedure, which took a total of five hours. Since then, Nicole has shown positive signs of improvement but remains in ICU and will probably be there for the next couple of weeks. Her family and friends are optimistic Nicole can make a full recovery. Nicole has a warrior spirit but a very long road ahead.
Nicole carries the family health insurance and Chris’s line of work has been significantly impacted by Covid. They have every day expenses to keep up with, plus additional medical expenses, and expenses related to regular- travel to Boston. Nicole will spend at least two weeks in ICU followed by at least another month or two in the hospital to start rehab.
Nicole does so much for those she loves, for her patients & for strangers she has never met. She is so giving of her time, resources and her heart. She and her family need our support now. It is her turn to now receive the support she would most certainly give to them. Please consider donating.
